Valentines is Over?

This morning when I dropped the kids off at my parents house, Parker laid on the floor staring at Eli's Valentine box. When Grandpa asked what he was doing, Parker just asked "is it Valentine's Day?" When Grandpa said no, not anymore, Parker's little eyes welled up with tears. He was genuinely sad it was no longer Valentine's! I didn't know he really even understood the holiday in the first place. I felt so bad! It must be hard for kids to understand holidays. When it snows outside Parker always asks if it is Christmas. He is a funny kid.
